Both panels pre-configured, shipped together. Left console manages the aircraft (APU, fuel, electrical, hydraulics). Right console manages the mission (sensors, weapons, ECM, comms). Together they cover the full F/A-18C console layout without reaching for a mouse. Each panel connects independently via USB-C.

How the two panels connect

Each panel connects independently to your PC via its own USB-C cable — no powered hub required if you have two free USB ports. They appear as separate HID devices. If one disconnects the other keeps working. Both are bus-powered — no external power supply needed.

DCS-BIOS handles sync for both simultaneously. One DCS-BIOS instance on your PC communicates with both panels at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start with one panel and add the other later?
Yes. Both panels are sold individually. The bundle price is better than buying separately, but there's no requirement to buy both at once. Adding the second panel later ships at the individual price at that time.
Do I need a powered USB hub?
No. Both panels are USB bus-powered within the USB 2.0 500mA spec per port. Standard PC USB ports handle them. If your ports are heavily loaded with other hardware, a powered hub works fine too.
Does it work in VR?
Yes — and VR is where physical panels are most useful. In a headset you can't check a monitor without breaking immersion. Both panels' indicator lights update from DCS-BIOS without needing to look at the screen.
Does it work with Helios?
Yes. Helios uses DCS-BIOS as its data source. The panels and Helios can run simultaneously off the same DCS-BIOS export without conflict.
Does DCS-BIOS affect DCS performance?
Negligible. It runs as a small background export process. The data it exports is already generated by DCS internally. Most users report no measurable FPS difference.
What about shipping and customs?
Panels ship worldwide from Vietnam via express courier. Transit time is 7–12 days. Import duties and local taxes are the buyer's responsibility and vary by country. We cannot undervalue parcels on customs declarations.
Are software and firmware updates free?
Yes. DCSPit.com app updates are free, including future DCS module databases. The board hardware doesn't require firmware updates for new features — updates are software-only.
Will these work with my existing WinWing or TekCreations setup?
Yes. Both panels connect via USB independently of any other hardware. They're Dzus frame compatible and install into existing pit frames without modification. They don't conflict with other USB sim hardware.
What's the warranty?
6 months from date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects. For warranty claims: email support@buildacockpit.com with your order number and a description or short video of the issue. For simple faults (dead switch, failed LED) we ship a replacement part before asking for a return. See the Warranty & Returns page for full details.
